Dscription: Vermicomposting Plant:
Vermicomposting is the process of turning organic debris into worm castings. The worm castings are very important to the fertility of the soil. The castings contain high amounts of nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, and magnesium. Vermicompost have higher content of macro and micro nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium and micronutrients namely iron, copper, zinc and manganese which play a major role in solid waste management. Our college has prepared vermicomposting unit in the campus for the degradation of wastes.
